Microsoft has confirmed that it's still working to fully address a known issue that causes bright white flashes when opening the File Explorer on some Windows 11 systems.

Microsoft’s Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7961 for 25H2 fixes File Explorer flashes, adds voice typing for renaming, and restores Administrator Protection.

What just happened? One might imagine that Microsoft had given up trying to repair a Windows 11 bug that caused File Explorer to open automatically, seeing as it was first reported back in late 2022.
